Best Real Techniques Brushes

Y'all--we made it to Friday. I know! Tell me what you're up to this weekend! I've got the super exciting plans of cleaning Casa Sees, finally getting to 400 emails (I know), and washing my makeup brushes. That brings me to today's post, where I'm sharing my favorite Real Techniques brushes. Created by makeup artist (and Youtube star) Sam Chapman, these super affordable brushes can be found online and in stores, like Ulta; Bed, Bath & Beyond; and Wal-Mart. Ulta often does bogo on these, so that can seave you even more money.

Sometimes "affordable" isn't the best quality, but that's not the case here. Brushes start at $6! All brushes are synthetic, soft, self-standing and are cruelty-fee. As always, these are just my opinions. I urge you to try them out for yourself!

FACE
So pretty much all of the face brushes are amazing, but I have some definite favorites (can you tell?)

1. Powder Brush--Nice, fluffy brush great for powder or mineral foundations.
2. Setting Brush--Great for setting concealer under the eyes or applying highlight along the tops of cheekbones.
3. Expert Face Brush--Hands down one of my favorites. Love this for blending liquid/cream foundation. Highly suggest getting this one.
4. Core Collection--I love the buffing, detailer, and contour brushes, plus it comes in a stand-up storage case. I use the contour more for highlight than contouring. The detailer is great for concealing small areas or as a lipstick brush. Highly suggest this set.
5. Blush Brush--Nice for applying color to the apples of cheeks.
6. Stippling Brush--I love this for cream blushes or blending out too much blush. Highly suggest this one.
7. Duo Fiber Collection--A must for those who want a natural or light application of products.
8. Foundation Brush--I don't like this for foundation, as it feels very inexpensive but it is awesome for applying contour!
9. Miracle Complexion Sponge--The closest I've found to a Beauty Blender dupe. Read my comparison between the two here.

• Brushes I don't care for (but you might love):
• Kabuki--I love that it can fold in half, but it's too big for me. I use mine from ELF more often.
• Retractable Bronzer and Kubuki Brushes--I like that they're portable, but I just don't care for them. I have others I prefer instead.
• I don't own the lip brush, so I cannot give a review on that one. Have you tried it?

EYES
As much as I love the face brushes, the ones for eyes just aren't my favorite, but I wanted to share with you some options.

1. Starter Set--I like the base, accent, and crease brushes, and the brow one is okay. I use the liner brush for covering up a pimple. If you have small eyes, you'll love the accent brush. Again, this one comes with a case that can be used to store brushes upright.
2. Shading Brush--I use this for applying or blending, and even on my concealer.
3. Lash-Brow Groomer--This is one of the few affordable combs I've seen that is metal and every tooth is the same. Most have thicker ends, making they impossible to use, so I like this one for clumps in mascara.

• Fine Liner Brush
• Silicone Liner Brush

• OVERALL: I say skip the eye brushes and get the face ones. My fave brushes for eyes can be purchased from Sigma Beauty.
