So since yesterday's post was very text-heavy, today's will be very photo-heavy. Yay! And as you can tell, I'm sharing lots of beauty products that I've been reviewing over the past month (or longer). Everything was sent for consideration and I chose to review these products. Enjoy.
Let's start off with these Glow VitaminBubbles by Nutrilux. Nutrilux's GLOW vitamins are the FIRST-EVER chewable liquid beauty vitamin that promises immediate absorption at 80%-90%, renewing collagen formation, tighter/brighter skin, free radical protection, stronger/longer nails, and luscious hair.
I didn't have enough bubbles to see the results of these, but I enjoyed them--they're fun, taste like blueberries, contain no unnatural ingredients, or fillers, and are gentle on the stomach. Single tube $4.99, 10-pack tube $44.99, nutrilux.com
The 5-Minute Weekly Glycolic Peel ($89) is one of my faves. It is a two-step resurfacing treatment to give the appearance of younger skin. The second step is the AHA Activator, which contains 10%. the highest level that can be used in beauty products. It's easy to use, didn't burn or aggravate my skin, and gave me baby-soft skin.
The Anti-Wrinkle Hydra Gel Treatment ($69) is the one I was the most excited to try. This two-step system smooths wrinkles. Leave on skin for 15 minutes before adding the balm. I did notice fine lines were gone temporarily. All products available at department and specialty stores nationwide, strivectin.com
I originally shared this on my July Faves, but there are two new limited edition fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana. The Light Blue Discover Vulcano Pour Homme belongs to the woody-chypre olfactive family. Intense top notes of Italian Lemon and Ginger are enveloped by the grassy softness of Cypress and Lavender at the heart. Base notes harmoniously blend Haitian Vetiver, Cedar Wood, and the musky-amber scent of Ambrox. I had to copy the info from the press release because there's no way I could do the fragrances justice! This smells SO good. Great masculine fragrance but can be worn by anyone who loves those notes. $54-84
The Light Blue Escape to Panarea has been my go-to summer fragrance. From the woody-musky olfactive family, the fragrance opens with a burst of Calabrian Bergamot and Pear, a contrast that blooms alongside the nocturnal Jasmine and Orange blossoms that define the heart notes. Base notes root the fragrance with an accord of Ambergris, Patchouli, Tonka Beans, and Warm Musky accords. You've GOT to give these a sniff and a spray if you live woody-musky fragrances. I prefer them because they don't give me migraines and make me wanna go to the Mediterranean. $55-97 select department stores
I've purchased plenty of Mally products, including the High-Shine Liquid Lipstick Pens. This one is in Nude Light, and has been a wonderful "top coat" to other glosses or lipsticks, or can be worn alone. Shiny, no shimmer, with avgerage gloss wearing time. Love these and this shade! $20 ulta.com or mallybeauty.com
The Wet Brush runs effortlessly through hair, detangling without pulling or tugging. There’s no pain, no tears–whether the hair is wet from the shower or dry; curly or straight; thick or fine. And believe me, I have tried it in every possible hair type I could get my hands on. It really works. The new neon collection is cute, too! $8.98 thewetbrush.com
I thought this collection was really cute because it's all Flight Friendly. Let's start with the SOHO Sweet Shop Pull Apart Clutch ($12!). Everything pictured above easily fit in there. So what's inside? Boscia Blotting Linens- $10 Sephora.com, SOHO Naturals 6 Piece Fresh Face Set- $11.99, Amazon.com, bodycology Cherish the Moment Moisturizing Body Lotion- $2.47, Walmart, ColorProof Evolved Color Care Extreme Shine Treatment Oil- $6.00, ColorProof Evolved Color Care CrazySmooth Anti-Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner- $7.95, sold exclusively in salons and spas nationwide, Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream- $25.00, jurlique.com, Aubrey EveryDay Basics Cleansing Gel- $8.95, Aubrey-Organics.com or health food stores nationwide, DenTek Brush + Floss Travel Kit- $5, available at mass market retailers. Everything was really fun to play with, with the SOHO, cleansing gel, and ColorProof being big standouts. I'm ready for takeoff!
Regardless of what type of blogger (beauty, lifestyle, mommy, style, etc) or reader you are, we all take showers. So that's why I was really excited to review the WaterPik SprayShaper ($69). The SprayShaper allows for a completely customizable experience with a unique design featuring moveable panels. Simply move the panels inward to shape the spray to a concentrated PowerSpray or for a total body experience, simply move outward, or up and down. The SprayShaper is VERY easy to install and takes about 5 minutes – no plumber or special tools needed. It comes in fixed or hand-held. I chose hand-held so I could wash my dog Charlie and easily clean out my tub. I'm in love.
Excuse the differences in lighting (artificial light), but here it is in action. Let's just say I had way too much fun trying out all of the 6 (!!!) different settings and tilting the panels to make it just right. And now I feel super fancy in my shower. Customization for the win!
And we all know the one beauty thing I am vain about is my hair. I'm glad to report that this worked well on my hair and seemed to give my not-so-great water pressure a boost. I will say that this hand-held version made it higher than my last shower head, so my tall peeps will love this. Available at Home Depot.
Okay, I have plenty more but will stop here for this month!
What have YOU been loving lately?
Which of these would you try?
