I'm taking my annual beach vacation (keep up with me here) and this week
I have some wonderful ladies visiting the blog.
You'll love their posts! See ya next week! Love, Elle
Hi and Welcome! My name is Janine and I blog at My Pennies, My Thoughts as well as my personal blog A Little Bit of Love and I’m so excited to be doing a guest post for Elle. I’m a personal finance blogger so I do watch how much I’m spending, but at the same time I do love to look good and enjoy trying out new beauty products. When it comes to beauty I usually try to find the most cost effective way to look great and keep my body healthy! Today I’ve prepared a list of my top 5 favorite beauty products that are under $15 dollars!
Minted Rose Lip Balm
This is my absolute favorite lip balm and I’ve owned the same tin for years. It’s great because the ingredients are very natural and it hydrates your lips wonderfully. The best part is you don’t have to just use it on your lips! Because it’s made up primarily petroleum jelly you can use it on dry elbows, cheeks, or knees! It’s available at Sephora and Urban Outfitters and it’s only $7.
Coconut Oil
It sounds silly but I have a large jar of coconut oil sitting in my cupboard and I use it for absolutely everything (read not just eating). Heating up a couple teaspoons in the microwave and using it as a moisturizer before bed prevents dry skin and this stuff can also be used in a variety of DIY hair masks and face masks! This stuff really works and you can get a lot out of 1 jar which can be purchased from any grocery store for about $10.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
This stuff was recommended to me by a close friend and I have to say I am so thankful she did. Not only are their tons of options when it comes to Batiste, it doesn’t smell funny, leave weird stuff in your hair, and it’s light but still gets the job done. This fantastic dry shampoo can be found at almost any drug store and is also available on Amazon for $8-9.
This eyeliner is a godsend; actually, you need to try out this eyeliner. Very affordable, and can be found at any drug store this liquid eyeliner is marketed as an ink pen (the tip is 0.4 mm) that never dries out. I would have to agree as I absolutely love this product and it has lasted me months where as normal liquid eyeliner dries up much more quickly. (Purchase for about $11)
Burt’s Bees Make Up Wipes
My favorite way to end the day, these makeup wipes remove all your makeup and are a natural way to cleanse your face. I love knowing that I’m putting natural things on my face instead of piles and piles of chemicals. I find that these wipes don’t dry out your face as much as other wipes and are about $10 at any drugstore.
