Spring Day-to-Night Makeup, Hair, and Nails

I hope you had an amazing weekend. The Final Four was held in Atlanta, so I avoided the crowds, enjoyed the spring weather, and watched Mad Men. Today, I'm sharing a spring look that can be worn in the day or intensified for night. This look ties in last week's Spring Awakening. In case you missed a post, I shared tips on shiny, soft hair, a DIY lip sugar scrub treatment, and a mask to exfoliate and brighten skin. Now that our hair and skin is ready, let's get started!

Makeup:
  • After moisturizing and priming my skin, I applied this Neutrogena foundation. I like it because I have super dry skin, still need the moisture, and I want some lighter coverage. They have an oily skin formula, too.
  • For my eyes, I applied primer, a skin tone shadow on my lid and a light brown in my crease.
  • Night: For a pop of color, I added turquoise liner on my upper lids. Another option: use it as a lower liner. I curled my lashes and used this Rimmel Scandal Eyes mascara I'm currently trying out. Use your fave mascara.
  • I wanted a natural-looking blush, and this Revlon Baby Stick fit the bill. I used my fingers to apply, but you can dot it on your cheeks and blend. Plus, it works on lips!
  • Night: Since I wanted to replicate a dewy finish, I brushed some highlighter above the tops of my cheeks, down my nose, and above my Cupid's Bow.
  • Again, you can use the Revlon Baby Stick on your lips, but I dabbed on the Revlon Lip Butters in Juicy Papaya.

Nails:
  • I did a base coat of this gorgeous peach polish by Covergirl. Revlon, Sinful Colors, and Julie G have similar colors if you can't find this shade.
  • Night: I wanted to add flowers to my nails, so using a dotting tool (toothpick, bobby pin) I added five or so dots with one lighter dot in the middle.
  • Allow to dry and add a top coat.

Hair:
  • I used heating protection spray and then a curling wand to create some loose waves. If you'd like, use some beach spray to add some texture to the waves.
  • Night: I took a section from each side and fishtail braided them, using two bobby pins to keep them in place.

What looks have you been loving for spring?
